ARRIVING AT BERKFEST
2003
Thank you for choosing to be with us at The 6th Annual
Berkshire Mountain Music Festival! And a special thanks
to all of you who voted us “The Best Small Festival
of 2002” in Relix Magazine! We are looking forward
to another great weekend of music in the Berkshires! The
success of Berkfest depends on a collective effort from
all of us, and we hope you will join us in creating a
positive, peaceful, and safe vibe for this year’s
festival. We are providing the information and guidelines
below so that you will be well informed before you arrive.
Once you arrive, our ASK ME! Staff will be available to
answer any further questions upon your arrival. |
For those of you who attended Berkfest
the last couple of years, we will be implementing a similar
parking system this year. If you’re new to Berkfest
or haven’t joined us in a few years, the information
below should give you a thorough understanding of the
arrival procedure. This process was created to get you
parked and into the festival quickly and efficiently.
Please read the following detailed information in advance
so you will know what to expect and how to get from your
car to your campsite as quickly as possible.
When you arrive in Great Barrington, signs will direct
you into one of two off-site parking lots where you will
be immediately guided to a parking space. There are no
additional parking fees associated with Berkfest.
Once you’ve parked, you will be directed to the
Box Office where you can purchase tickets, exchange tickets
for credentials, or pick up will call and guest list tickets.
Each parking lot will have a full service Box Office (see
new hours of operation below) equipped to handle all ticketing-related
needs and questions.
PLEASE NOTE: NEW THIS
YEAR, THE NORTH LOT BOX OFFICE WILL BE CLOSED ON SATURDAY
& SUNDAY. ALL PATRONS ARRIVING IN GREAT BARRINGTON
ON SATURDAY AND SUNDAY SHOULD FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS TO
THE SOUTH LOT.
FOR ALL PATRONS WHO HAVE ALREADY PARKED IN THE NORTH LOT,
SHUTTLE BUSES FROM BUTTERNUT TO THE NORTH LOT WILL CONTINUE
TO RUN THROUGHOUT THE FESTIVAL.
Once you have been credentialed, you will be able to board
the shuttle buses with all of your gear for the weekend.
Only people wearing the appropriate credentials will be
allowed to board the shuttle buses. Due to heightened
security concerns, all patrons and their possessions are
subject to search. There will be ample shuttle
buses on hand to bring you and your gear to the campground
drop off. |
CONSCIOUS
ALLIANCE FOOD DRIVE!
Berkfest is proud to announce that it will be hosting
a food drive run by Conscious Alliance and benefiting
the Food Bank of Massachusetts! Conscious Alliance
will have tables set up in both parking lots and
in the venue to take donations of canned or non-perishable
food items. Fans donating 10 or more items will
receive a free 11 x 17 original poster from Conscious
Alliance! Please read the enclosed information from
Conscious Alliance and consider contributing to
this great cause. |

DEPARTURE
Everyone planning on staying through Sunday night must
leave the festival grounds by 10am Monday morning. |
Please Note: You
will only be allowed to enter the festival site on the
shuttle buses. Please do not attempt to walk or drive
directly into Butternut, there will not be
a Box Office on the grounds, and you will have to take
a shuttle bus back to the parking lot in order to purchase
or pick up your tickets and credentials. In addition,
there is no camping in the parking lots
in or near your vehicles. No RV’s will be permitted
onsite. RV’s and oversized vehicles will be allowed
to park in the South Lot only; however, you will not be
permitted to sleep in these vehicles. If you are arriving
in such a vehicle, please bring appropriate camping equipment
to camp onsite, away from your vehicle.
For those of you bringing young children, we will be offering
a “Quiet – Family Camping Area” separate
from the major camping areas. Information on the family
camping area and other site details will be available
from the ASK ME! staff. Any specific questions that are
not answered at www.berkfest.com can be directed to a
staff person at info@berkfest.com
or 877.42.FESTS.
