Jenny Davis was one of Gamelanıs first
Office Managers. She worked with Gamelan for about a year in
1997 and 1998. Even before her involvement with Gamelan, Jenny was
a strong supporter of the local music scene, befriending many of
the local musicians. She is well loved within the community. On
October 16th, 2001, a terrible accident occurred outside of the
Bread and Circus in Framingham, MA. Jenny was standing outside waiting
for a ride when she was struck by an out-of-control Jeep Grand Cherokee
and thrown through the glass window of the store. Jenny was airlifted
to Massachusetts General Hospital where a team of Doctors went to
work on here immediately. Lucky to be alive, Jenny spent over 65
hours in surgery over the next week where one of the worldıs top
doctors worked to save her legs. Dr. Malcolm Smith was able to save
Jennyıs right leg, however the left leg had to be amputated above
the knee. She spent one full month in ICU. Jenny has been recovering
valiantly over the last 7 months, however she and her family have
been racking up hospital bills and physical therapy expenses beyond
their means. On June 27th Gamelan, Relix Magazine and Harperıs Ferry
present Jenefit: A Benefit for Jennifer Davis featuring; Jiggle,
Another Planet, Addison Groove Project, members of Uncle Sammy,
Jon Trama (formerly of the Rockett Band and currently touring in
Moon Boot Lover) and Jon and Steve from Mighty Purple. Doors for
